In November 2024, four names from Italian coffee-machine history — Carimali, Elektra, Heylo and Bellezza — became one company: VEA Group S.p.A.
If you buy, sell or service espresso equipment, here is what that actually means.
Four brands, four jobs
Each brand keeps its own identity, because each does a different job.
Carimali is the professional volume brand, building fully-automatic and traditional espresso machines for hotels, restaurants, offices, foodservice and OEM partners since 1919. It is where most of our engineering hours go, and where most of our machines ship.
Elektra has hand-built premium espresso machines since 1947 — design-led, with an Italian design heritage at home in cafés and hospitality environments that treat the machine as part of the room.
Heylo is our technology brand: proprietary induction heating for coffee and milk — precise thermal control with meaningful energy savings over conventional boilers.
Bellezza brings professional-grade engineering to the home barista.
What unification changes
Behind those four storefronts now sits one engineering organisation, one quality system and one supply chain, across two production plants — Chignolo d'Isola in Italy and Suzhou in China — serving customers in more than 60 countries.
In practice, that means shared R&D: an innovation proven on one brand's machines becomes available to all of them. It means one certification team handling market access — CE, UL, CCC, NSF and the rest — instead of four companies solving the same problem four times. And it means one spare-parts and technical-documentation backbone behind every machine we have ever shipped.
What deliberately does not change
The brands. A Carimali is still a Carimali; an Elektra is still built the way Elektra has always built machines. Unification is about what customers never see — engineering depth, purchasing power, quality systems — not about flattening four identities into one.
Family-owned, engineering-led
VEA Group is owned by the Doglioni Majer family and run as an engineering company: more than a century of espresso know-how, over 100 patents, and machines pouring more than six million beverages a day around the world.
That is the group in one page. If you want the longer version — or want to talk about working with us — our contact form reaches the right person directly.
